"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Special Free Gift

Special offer for all who register for our November Mexican Riviera Credit Union Cruise/Conference! Dan Clark, who will be our feature discussion leader on this unique educational event, has just completed revising his Board Governance Policies — a model manual for credit unions.

Save hundreds of hours — thousand of dollars — in the time it takes to draft policies. And, will you cover all the areas you need to cover? The 13th Edition introduces a new and simplified structure in two parts. Part I is the Board's process policies, rules and procedures for self-government. Part II contains ends policies and CEO limitations, all the guidance the CEO needs from the Board to lead the journey. Now more concise than ever at only 59 pages, find beautifully constructed statements with room for interpretation, the way policies were always meant to be written. This manual is the centerpiece of good governance. Dan Clark is a 36-year credit union professional with experience as a regulator, director and CEO. You will find this model of policies incorporating more of John Carver's governance concepts than previous editions. Customize it to your credit union.

The manual can be yours by special arrangement with Dan. This data disk, with the editable manual on it, sells for $297, and it is yours free when you register for the Mexican Riviera Cruise during August. Call Advance Travel today at 1-800-343-1070 to reserve your place on this exciting cruise. Mention this offer to get your manual sent directly to you.

Dynamic Discussion Leader To Help Us Chart our Course:

DAN CLARK ... Trainer, Consultant, Facilitator, Coach

Dan Clark’s views and teachings on governance and strategic planning have their roots in the 1970s as a regulator. He is the only field examiner in Florida ever to become the state’s Credit Union Administrator. He subsequently honed his expertise as a board member and an independent consultant in the 1980s. Dan Clark now has the perspective of a President/CEO of a credit union, as he continues to work with credit unions and other clients to develop their visions and strategic plans.

Well known credit union periodicals have published more than 200 of Dan’s columns and commentaries. He authored two of the original CUNA VAP modules, authored two books on governance, and a model governance policy manual, now in its 12th edition. His popular ALM-101 training program has enlightened volunteers and staff alike for over two decades. A sought after speaker with a historical perspective and wit, Dan is practical in content, inspirational in delivery, and challenges the status quo of credit union volunteers and management. Visit Beautiful, Exciting Ports of the Mexican Riviera

       ALIGN=Default  ALIGN=Default

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

The quintessential Mexican resort, "PV" is the darling of the Riviera. Stroll cobblestone streets lined with chic boutiques and galleries. Explore the bustling City Market. Or while away the afternoon on a white sand beach.

Mazatlan, Mexico

Mazatlan is the home of Mexico's largest shrimp fleet and numerous beachside restaurants specializing in this tasty creature, and the price of the day depends on your powers of persuasion. Explore the colonial villages of the Sierra Madres and hold your breath as you watch the Papantla Flyers work their acrobatic magic.

Topolobampo, Mexico

Topolobampo is the port for the city of Los Mochis. A large shrimping fleet is stationed here and the deep harbor is ideal for commercial fishing. Although these industries are significant, they pale by comparison to the regionˇs most important attraction, the spectacular Copper Canyon. This scenic chasm is four times the size of the Grand Canyon, sculpted by the on-going process of erosion, 60 million years into its seemingly immortal lifespan. The Canyon's world-renown train ride covers the entire spectrum of terrain with 39 bridges and 87 tunnels, ending at an elevation of 8,000 feet above the sparkling Sea of Cortez.

Loreto, Mexico

As the first capital of the Californias, Loreto is home to a proud culture rich in history. Now this envied vacation port capitalizes on its unparalleled land and seascapes, perfect

Pichilingue/La Paz, Mexico

Known as one of the world's finest fishing locations, La Paz offers outdoor adventure ranging from snorkeling and diving to kayaking and windsurfing. Nested on the coast of the Sea of Cortez is a secluded, yet modern city on the dry, desert-like Baja California Peninsula.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortes meet at Land's End, Cabo San Lucas sits on the tip of the Baja Peninsula. Sun and sand are big here, but the fish are even bigger. Marlin, sailfish, tuna and billfish— all abound in these rich waters.

San Diego, Ca.

Sunshine and fun are business as usual in San Diego. Walk on Coronado Island's sandy beach, take in the elegant streetscapes of the historic district, have a wild time at the famous San Diego Zoo or a whale of a good time at Sea World.
