"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Dynamic Industry Leaders To Help Us Chart our Course:

DAN CLARK ... Trainer, Consultant, Facilitator, Coach

Dan Clark’s views and teachings on governance and strategic planning have their roots in the 1970s as a regulator. He is the only field examiner in Florida ever to become the state’s Credit Union Administrator. He subsequently rounded out his expertise as a Credit Union board member, and has been an independent consultant since the 1980s. Dan Clark now has the perspective of a President/CEO of a credit union, as he continues to consult and coach with credit unions and other nonprofits in developing their governance policies, visions and strategic plans.

Well known credit union periodicals have published more than 200 of Dan’s columns and commentaries. He authored two of the original CUNA VAP modules, and distance learning modules for CUES. He authored two books on governance and a Board Governance Policy Manual. His popular "CU Financial Statements in Plain English" is a training program enlightening volunteers and staff alike for nearly three decades.

A sought after speaker with a historical perspective and wit, Dan is practical in content, inspirational in delivery, and challenges the status quo of credit union volunteers and management. He has served credit unions large and small across North America.

Dan, a CCUE, holds a degree in business and economics, with a minor in accounting. He is active in the Internal Coach Federation and the Association for Strategic Planning.
