CREDIT UNION SURVIVAL STRATEGIES

July 10 – 18th, 2024

SOLD OUT - WAIT LIST ONLY

GO FROM SURVIVAL TO THRIVAL MODE TO IMPACT YOUR CREDIT UNION’S FUTURE

It’s a real Jungle out there! Credit Unions can’t continue to simply react to change, but must become more flexible to quickly make adjustments. To go from a survival to a thrival mode, credit unions must be able to anticipate and prepare for those unexpected challenges and opportunities heading their way. Times and locations for Educational sessions will be announced daily by the EduCruise Group Leader.

Join EduCruises on this amazing journey featuring exhilarating game drives through grasslands, woodlands, and swamplands. Distinctive safari lodges and tented camps that blend into the living landscape, this Africa vacation was designed for those who like to take a walk—or a nap—on the wild side. Game drives through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Serengeti National Parks—as well as the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro Crater—offer an opportunity for up-close views of the “Big 5” (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo) as well as countless other majestic creatures. As you explore these mesmerizing parks, prepare to see zebra grazing, hippo bathing, elephants trumpeting and, if luck is on your side, cheetah sprinting. Marvel at Maasai Warriors jumping in celebration of life. There are lots to fall in love with on this timeless Tanzania safari, including morning Mimosas and Sundowner drinks in the bush to quench your thirst for knowledge and adventure.

ABOUT THE LODGING

We will be staying at several Safari Lodges and two Hotels. Most accommodations are nestled among the small rocky hills or kopjes scattered with ancient baobab trees. Most rooms have two queen-size beds with a mosquito net around them. Ceiling fans keep the rooms cool and glass sliding doors open out on to a balcony, with a great view of the landscape beyond. Wildlife can sometimes be spotted while sitting on your balcony. Other amenities provided by most lodges include a gift shop, laundry services, and swimming pool.

Day 6: Monday, July 15, 2024

Ngorongoro Crater is technically a caldera—the world’s largest unflooded one, at more than 2,000 feet deep with a floor covering over 102 square miles. Game viewing here is fantastic, as most of the animals stay in this area year round, affording the opportunity to see lion, hyena, hippo, elephant, as well as the best chance to see the rare black rhinoceros. Enjoy an exclusive Globus Local Favorite bush lunch served in the crater. Because of the time it takes to descend into and ascend out of the crater it’s normal to eat lunch in the crater. While standard fare is a typical box lunch, Globus guests enjoy exclusive, freshly prepared lunch served beneath a grove of Acacia trees!
Hotel: Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7: Tuesday, July 16, 2024
Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
Drive to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s largest and most famous park. The Serengeti covers an area of roughly 5,700 square miles, the name comes from the Maasai word siringit, meaning “endless plains.” Enjoy lunch at your tented camp followed by an afternoon game drive with the chance to see the big cats—lion, leopard, and cheetah—as well as an abundance of other animals, including the Nile crocodile, giraffe, gazelle, and eland. With some luck you may even spot something much rarer, like a caracal, a beautiful cat with distinctive ears.
Hotel: Lodge or Luxury Camp (to be determined)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8: Wednesday, July 17, 2024
Serengeti National Park
Continue your exploration during morning and afternoon game drives. Home to the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra, the Serengeti is great for game viewing year round. Tonight, join a Globus Local Favorite farewell dinner featuring a traditional Maasai dance performance.
Hotel: Lodge or Luxury Camp (to be determined)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 9: Thursday, July 18, 2024
Serengeti – Arusha
Embark on a final game drive before flying back to Arusha, where a day room is reserved for your convenience. Schedule departing flights for home after 5 pm.
Hotel: To Be Determined
Meals: Breakfast

Hotels, Lodges and Daily Itinerary are subject to change.

Note About the Great Migration:

The Great Migration is a natural event, and the movements of the migrating herds are difficult to predict year to year. The herds are usually in the Serengeti between late November through July. During this time, you’re likely to see the herds. River crossings are more of a challenge, but we’ll adjust game viewing if there is a chance to witness this rare and extraordinary sight!

Failure to comply could result in large fines.
