FAQ'S

The following is a list of Frequently Asked Questions that we have received over the years.

If you don’t find your answer here … please contact us so that we can answer your specific question!

WHY SHOULD I BOOK MY CABIN EARLY WITH YOU?

We are only able to hold discounted group space for a limited time before the cruise line recalls all of our unused cabins. After that recall date, we will attempt to secure your preferred cabin type, if space is still available. Most cruises sell out early, so it’s very critical that you book early with us … even if the cruise/conference is scheduled for the NEXT CALENDAR YEAR!

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CAN’T GO AFTER WE HAVE ALREADY BOOKED OUR CABIN WITH YOU?

As long as you contact us to cancel your cabin before the cruise line set deadline, your deposits will be refunded. If you have to cancel after the cruise line deadline, we can apply for a refund with the Trip Cancellation Insurance provider, as long as the reason for the cancellation meets their requirements…such as medical reasons, deaths, etc

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE COST OF OUR CABIN?

Most meals while onboard, shipboard entertainment, your stateroom

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED IN OUR CABIN RATE?

Optional tours, casino related expenses, alcoholic beverages, gratuities, items purchased in shops, transfers, air travel, or conference registration

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS DANGEROUS WEATHER IN THE AREA THAT WE ARE SAILING TO, OR IF THERE IS POLITICAL UNREST IN THE REGION?

Your safety always comes first with the cruise line and with EduCruises! If the region is deemed unsafe by the cruise line, the cruise line will make the decision to sail to safer ports or regions.

WILL THE EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS PREVENT ME FROM TAKING LAND TOURS?

No. We schedule the educational sessions for times when our ship is at sea

DOES THE GROUP ALWAYS DINE TOGETHER?

No. You are free to dine at the dining room and time of your choice. EduCruise attendees, however, often invite one another to meet up at a shipboard restaurant for specific meals.

WHAT ARE THE KEY TOPICS THAT YOU WILL FOCUS ON THROUGHOUT THE CRUISE?

Here is a sample of some of the Big Picture Topics discussed aboard an EduCruise:

  • VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT
